Program Overview:
As a part of our Discover Your Path Program youth now have the ability to connect and learn about life skills while enjoying the game of Basketball. In addition biweekly online 1 hour workshops will take place with unique speakers discussing life skills such as: SMART Goal Setting, Financial Literacy, Career Discovery, Self – Esteem and Mental Health, Networking, and Digital Literacy.
Coaches David, Wayon, and Kadeem, provide weekly “FREE” basketball drills, scrimmages, and life lessons to an eager group of youth Grade 9-12.
Requirements:
- Must be in High School
- Must register via online platform
- Must commit to working on the unique SMART goals developed for them during the few sessions
- Must attend online bi-weekly lifeskills workshops to maintain space in program (Youth with strong attendance and participation can win gift cards of up to $50 throughout the program)
- Must participate in evaluation surveys of their learning and program satisfaction
We are pleased to share that we have extended our Discover Your Path Through Basketball Program.
You can choose between four locations and dates (1 new location added in Pickering):
- Bramalea Secondary – Mondays 6-8pm – 510 Balmoral Dr, Brampton, ON L6T 1W4
- St. Augustine Catholic Secondary Wednesday 6-7pm – 27 Drinkwater Rd, Brampton, ON L6Y 4T6
- St. Francis Xavier Elementary School 6 – 7:30pm – 111 Bartley Bull Pkwy, Brampton, ON L6W 1H2
- Galaxy Training for Athletes – Monday 7-9pm – 1420 Bayly St, Pickering, ON L1W 3R3
Only 20 youth (first come first serve) others will be added to the waitlist
